Greece x Reader: Questions

“Hey, Heracles, what if Socrates never died?” You asked the greek; wide-eyed.

“He probably wouldn’t have done much..” he yawned.

“Yeah, but what if he did do something?” You pushed.

“I-“

“Oh, what if Alexander the Great was never taught?”

“Socrates never-“

“Oh I know,” you interrupted him. “But Ludwig says the art of war comes naturally so what if?”

Heracles sighed. “Maybe he would be the same. Or better or worse..”

“Yeah, but what do you think?” You persisted. “OH! And what if the Greeks and the Romans joined forces and taken over Europe?”

“Then I guess..” He yawned once more and drifted off to sleep.

You frowned. “What if Heracles wasn’t so lazy and hated cats?”

“Hating cats..?” He mumbled, as if the mere thought was foreign. “Must not be me.”

“You know, Heracles, I once read that everything we see is just a figment of our imagination and that this isn't reality— and I read a book by— was it Plato or Aristotle? Tell me this: It was that cave where the three men were tied up and one guy went outside and saw the real world and the others didn’t believe him but the second one went and was like, ‘wow, this is like, so pretty!’— quote by my BFF Feliks cause we watched the show and wemadefunofthebook haha.. but anyways would you believe the man if he told you that what you knew wasn’t reality?”

Heracles raised an eyebrow. “(Name)..”

“Why can you never answer my questions as quick as I can speak?”

“Because my tongue is not a snake.”

“‘My tongue is not a snake’” you repeated. “What fancy talk! Aren’t you a philosopher? Aren’t all Greeks philosophers? That leads me to my next question; I’ve tried to learn it before for you but Greek is so hard, so tell me why is it that-“

“You really talk too much..” He sat up in his chair. “And ask too many unimportant questions.”

You were taken aback. “U-unimportant?”

“So, let me ask you these questions.”

You nodded for him to continue.

“What if I said I liked you?”

“…” You blushed. 

“What if I said I’d like you to be my girlfriend?”

“…” You shyly nodded.

“What if we could go on a date right now?”

You sprang up. “I’ll go get ready!”
